01 · Our purpose
A local voice.
A shared space.
Better Streets Bayside advocates for safer, more welcoming streets and better connections for walking, wheeling and cycling.
Everyday local trips should work for people of all ages and abilities, especially children, older residents and people with disability.
02 · The community already here
Good things.
Already here.
Local groups already do fantastic work: organising activities and events, providing places to meet, supporting volunteers and caring for our local environment.
We want to support that work, help residents discover it and create stronger connections between groups and Council.
03 · A proposed collaboration
A local app.
A shared effort.
We’re proposing a collaboration between Better Streets Bayside, existing community groups and Bayside City Council to shape a shared local app.
Local news, activities, events and community conversations—helping groups reach residents and giving everyone another way to share ideas and hear local feedback.
04 · Help shape the pilot
Shape it.
Try it. Improve it.
We’re inviting local groups to help shape a small pilot: share a few updates, try the demo and tell us what would make it useful.
Better Streets Bayside would review submissions and bring local experiences and ideas into conversations with Council.
